Before you send

  • Check the recipient identifier carefully before confirming.
  • Turn on Security Lock and review account alerts.
  • Open support from the app or the official Cash App website.

Understand the limits

Cash App says it investigates unauthorized-transfer claims and reimburses eligible claims. Eligibility depends on the circumstances. Cash App Card protections and personal payment claims are different; do not assume a card policy covers every transfer.

If something goes wrong

Use Cash App’s in-app support to report the payment and explain what happened. If a linked bank account or card was also affected, notify that institution. Keep the transaction reference and the support case number.
